ArmaProtect™ ABLC

ArmaProtect™ ABLC is an advanced, ready-to-use ablative firestop coating engineered to protect structural penetrations and electrical installations. When exposed to fire, the coating undergoes an endothermic reaction, forming a protective insulating layer that restricts heat transfer and prevents flame spread across service penetrations, cables, and coated mineral wool board systems.

It can be applied as part of the ArmaProtect CB coated board system or applied directly to cables and cable trays to prevent flame propagation along electrical runs.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Ablative Thermal Protection: Absorbs thermal energy in a fire event, delaying temperature rise and containing smoke and toxic gases.
  • Versatile Application: Can be easily applied using a brush, roller, or airless spray equipment.
  • Environmentally Friendly: Halogen-free, solvent-free, and low-VOC formulation (< 50 g/L) for safe indoor application.
  • Durable & Weather-Resistant: Once cured, it offers superior resistance to weathering, humidity, frost-thaw cycles, and UV exposure (EOTA TR 024 Type X).
  • Cable Flame-Spread Protection: Tested and approved for fire protection on electrical cables, cable bundles, and cable trays.
  • Globally Certified: Tested and compliant with major international standards, including UL 1479 (FT-Rating up to 3 hours), ETA (EN 1366-3), FM Approvals, and DNV.
