HEATSHRINK JOINTING KIT

3M™ Heat Shrink Cable Jointing / Splicing Kits deliver long-term operational reliability and mechanical flexibility for high-voltage power distribution networks. Designed for splicing single-core and three-core extruded dielectric shielded cables, these kits provide a lightweight, compact, and completely moisture-sealed jointing solution.

Manufactured at 3M’s state-of-the-art facility in Pune, each kit comes fully equipped with specialized heat-shrinkable tubing, stress control molded components, sealing mastics, and all necessary hardware for a complete, field-proven joint.

Key Features & Benefits

  • High Voltage Coverage: Suitable for medium to high-voltage cable networks operating at 11 kV, 22 kV, 33 kV, and up to 66 kV.
  • Wide Conductor Range: Accommodates large cable cross-sections up to 1200 sq. mm for both single-core and 3-core cable runs.
  • Effective Stress Control: Features high-permittivity stress-control tubes and mastics that dissipate electrical stress concentrations over the insulation screen cut point.
  • Hermetic Environmental Seal: Integrated hot-melt adhesive linings and high-grade sealants create a moisture-proof, water-tight seal resistant to soil chemicals and ambient humidity.
  • Compact & Rugged Build: Lightweight, low-profile design fits easily into tight trenches, cable trays, and underground duct banks while offering superior impact and abrasion resistance.
