Double Compression Cable Glands

Double Compression Cable Glands are engineered for heavy-duty, outdoor, or hazardous environments where armoured cables (SWA/STA) require maximum protection. These glands provide a dual sealing mechanism: an inner seal that compresses around the inner sheath (preventing moisture from entering the enclosure) and an outer seal that grips the outer sheath, while mechanically clamping the cable armour wire for 100% earthing continuity.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Dual Environmental Protection: Features inner and outer neoprene/silicone seals providing IP66/IP67 weatherproof protection against heavy rain, dust immersion, and harsh weather.
  • Armor Wire Clamping: Built-in armour clamping cone and ring securely grip cable armour wires, providing high pull-out resistance and low-resistance earth continuity.
  • Extreme Mechanical Strength: Rugged brass construction withstands mechanical impacts, vibration, and thermal expansion in heavy industrial operations.

Primary Applications

  • Outdoor substations, power distribution transformers, and main switchboards.
  • Securing armoured steel-wire (SWA) and steel-tape (STA) high-voltage power cables.
