Bimetallic Cable Lugs are specialized connectors engineered to solve the critical challenge of joining aluminum conductors directly to copper busbars or terminals. Direct contact between aluminum and copper causes galvanic corrosion in the presence of air or moisture, leading to high resistance, joint degradation, and thermal failure. Bimetallic lugs eliminate this risk through a friction-welded joint that permanently bonds high-purity aluminum with a solid copper palm.
